Data & security
Your shop's pricing stays your shop's
MetalQuoteHQ holds commercially sensitive information: customer requests, supplier quotes, markups and buying history. The product is designed around isolated shop workspaces, explicit team roles and human review.
Each shop is a separate workspace
Quotes, customers, suppliers, documents and price history are scoped to one shop. Database access rules enforce that boundary in addition to application-level checks.
Roles control who can make changes
Owners and admins manage the team. Members can do the quoting work, while viewers can be given read-only access when that is all they need.
AI drafts; your team approves
AI-assisted intake and supplier-price capture always land in a review step. Parsed descriptions, quantities and prices are not silently approved or sent to customers.
Manual quoting stays available
AI is an accelerator, not a dependency. Your team can enter RFQs and supplier prices manually and complete the same quoting workflow.
Original documents stay traceable
When a source RFQ or supplier response is attached to a quote, the original is retained with the shop's record so reviewers can compare the draft against its source.
Shared login, separate product data
MetalQuoteHQ shares authentication with MetalShopHQ and MetalCutHQ. A shared account does not merge the separate shops, quotes or product workspaces a person can access.
AI-assisted processing
What happens when you use AI
When you choose an AI-assisted import, the relevant text or document content is sent to MetalQuoteHQ's AI processing provider to produce a structured draft. The draft is returned to your workspace for review before it affects a quote.
If you would rather not use AI for a request, start with a blank quote and enter the lines yourself. Supplier costs can also be entered directly.
